Jeanie Richards

Jeanie grew up in the small Iowa town of Hampton. Through inspiration  from her Grandmother Violet, Jeanie learned early on that she loved to  paint, draw and create art. She has perused this interest throughout her  life.

Jeanie attended the Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo, and  graduated with an Applied Arts degree in Interior Design. Jeanie then  moved to Montana and became a cattle and dude rancher, often  hosting national and international artists and their workshops at her  ranch. This is where her love of watercolor painting and exploring the  great outdoors took off and she hasn’t looked back. While living in  Montana, she taught art for K-12 students and pursued a career in  graphic design, receiving numerous industry awards. Jeanie and her  husband Randy are now retired and living in Elkader.
